The Orion XS has been developed from scratch and revolutionizes adaptive DC-DC charging. For use in dual battery systems that are charged with an (intelligent) alternator. This device not only offers first-class performance, but also guarantees the safety of your system.
With configurable input and output currents, you can be sure that your Orion XS will operate at maximum power at temperatures of up to 40 °C. The innovative technology used to cool the aluminum circuit board ensures an amazing 98% efficiency without the need for fans.
As an integral part of your Victron system, the Orion XS offers comprehensive remote monitoring and control capabilities, giving you complete control over your device and system.

Configurable charging
The simple controls allow you to precisely set the input and output current. This helps to protect alternators from overload and to charge the service battery correctly, especially with intelligent alternators.
Parallel connection to increase the output current
Any number of Orion XS devices can be connected in parallel. This makes it easier to scale the output current to match the requirements of your system.
Intelligent alternator compatibility
With its integrated engine shutdown detection, the Orion XS ensures that the charger only draws power when the engine is running. It also helps to obtain the correct charging current from intelligent alternators such as those found in Euro 5 & Euro 6 engines.
Adaptive charging algorithm
The Orion XS has customizable charging algorithms and 8 battery presets. For lead-acid batteries, these settings ensure optimum constant voltage times for both low and deep discharges.
Comprehensive electronic protection
The Orion XS is equipped with comprehensive electronic protection against overload, short circuit and excessive temperatures. It automatically reduces the output power when the maximum product temperature is reached.
Low temperature shutdown and undervoltage protection
To prevent damage to lithium batteries, the charger automatically switches off at low temperatures and when the input voltage falls below a user-configurable safety value, thus protecting the starter battery from deep discharge.

The Orion XS is protected against dust and water and has protection class IP65.
